Racconigi: rich in history, like V2.
We are in Racconigi, 46 km far from Cuneo and 44 from Turin. You can reach us:
- By car: taking the motorway A6 Torino-Savona as far as Carmagnola tollgate, following then the signs for Racconigi
- By train: taking the Torino-Cuneo-Savona railway, stopping in Racconigi
- By air: the closest airports are Turin Caselle International Airport (about 50 km from Racconigi) or Cuneo-Levaldigi Airport (about 20 km from Racconigi)
Racconigi is an important historical landmark on the boarders of Turin province. It was feud of the historical Saluzzo Marquisate from XI to XVII century and then it belonged to the Acaja family of Fossano, before becoming one of the favourite residences of the Savoia-Carignano family. With them, the marvellous Royal Castle was built, castle that is still destination of cultural and artistic tourism, together with its verdant English park, created by Le Notre and known all over Italy for the populous flock of storks residing in.
